SBI USSD Based Banking
Customer can use UPI (Unified Payment Interface) to check their account details and transfer funds. To check your SBI balance, all you need to do is dial *99# and select ‘Check Balance’ option from the list.
Note: This service also requires registration. It only takes 2-3 minutes.
Customers can send ‘Sbal UserId Mpin’ to 9223440000 to do SBI balance enquiry. Shortly after sending the SMS, customer will receive his account balance through an SMS.
SBI SMS Banking is another service that lets you check your account balance and mini statement. Furthermore, unlike missed call banking it lets you perform some transnational activities such as fund transfer to other accounts. Here are some features of this service:
- Check your State Bank of India balance through SMS
- Get last five transactions details
- Transfer fund using IMPS
This service is not a recommended unless your telecom plan includes free text messages. But if you’ve a feature phone and you want transfer fund from your account then you may use it. I’m not recommending it because it costs money (because SMS charges are applicable).
