SBI SMS Banking is another service that lets you check your account balance and mini statement. Furthermore, unlike missed call banking it lets you perform some transnational activities such as fund transfer to other accounts. Here are some features of this service:

  • Check your State Bank of India balance through SMS
  • Get last five transactions details
  • Transfer fund using IMPS

This service is not a recommended unless your telecom plan includes free text messages. But if you’ve a feature phone and you want transfer fund from your account then you may use it. I’m not recommending it because it costs money (because SMS charges are applicable).

Internet Banking

In our last post, we’ve shown you a step-by-step process to activate SBI internet banking. This is a fabulous service that lets you perform all banking tasks right from your home. Net Banking is also a free service but by using this service you can do more than SBI online balance enquiry.
